Needles and Pins

It seems like a looooooooong time ago that I made this felt needle case for a "Mummy School" graduation present. In reality it was only 3 months - it's just been a busy three months!

I used brightly coloured felt, which I edged with blanket stitch, then used a different colour of embroidery thread for each letter to create a rainbow effect. Not subtle, but a little burst of colour can sometimes be like a little ray of sunshine, at least I hope so, particularly if the needle case is being brought out to do something less than exciting, like mending holes!
